GEMINI.
By Thaina Joyce
It is like living with a doppelganger inside the house
of her own body, with head up in the air and feet
anchored deep in the mantle. Yin and yang cycling
in the light. She’s not a woman who make decisions
effortlessly. From a platter of possibilities, she’ll take two
then reconsider a third option. An orchid mantis
in a garden, waiting to devour anyone who mistakes
her colors for fragility. She is adamant about replacing borders
with silver linings. In her eyes living can be an ocean
or a drought, and she will swim in both. Gemini beyond
the zodiac, turning the roman sign sideways
to equalize and sync everyone's best traits into a social
gathering. She can go from laughter to despair in the breath
of a short sentence, a rollercoaster of emotions. Her brain is more expeditious
than AI, she is fluent in sarcasm and perplexing
people. Her mouth is a firework
waiting to be lit.
